I’m back up to running 2 miles after a hiatus that involved lifting weights more than running. The backsliding I do drives me crazy, but at least I always get back at it!!

How I did it: We tackled one bathroom at a time. We did it ourselves whenever we could find time in our already busy lives. I was the one that mostly came up with the design ideas and my husband did the actual work, though I did learn to cut tile and grout!! It just took forever just b/c it was fit in around everything else. I guess it didn't take til "the end of time" at least!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: We worked with an architect who was instrumental in helping us to create what is truely the most useful, aesthetically pleasing kitchen I've ever had the pleasure to work in. It was a remodel so they helped us to conceive of the use of the space in a way we simply could not. Read how I did it…
I just got back from visiting my parents in Florida. Also spent time with my 88 year old grandmother while I was down there. It helps me deal with the fact that not everyone will be in my life forever.
Well, I took my first steps towards this goal. I was in Florida visiting my parents for a week and signed up for two days of lessons. The winds weren’t strong enough on the first day, so I didn’t even get on the sand that day. The second day I learned how to set up the kite, safety stuff, started learning how to fy the kite and managed to pull myself up off the sand once with the kite. Unfortuntely, a storm came in in the afternoon and I didn’t actually get out on the water. I am making plans to get down to Destin in April to see if I can’t move this a little further ahead. And I’m planning on hooking up with a company up in Michigan when I’m up there this summer. Then we’ll see if I can do some kiting in Puerta Vallarta this fall. I’m glad I took the first step anyway – that’s always the hardest!!
