I got my one and only tattoo about 18 years ago with my father. We both went and got feline tattoos on our ankles after my elder brother had done the same thing a few months previous.
My tattoo was doen by a big biker named “little mick” in a very dodgy tattoo parlour in fortitude valley which all added to the “mystique” at the time. Funnily enough when my wife wanted to get a tattoo a few years ago on a south pacific island by an islander in a mobile coconut I didn’t see any mystique in it just madness.

It’s more unable to help than unwilling to help. I was lucky, I literally just saw her across a crowded room and one of the guys I was with knew her from uni and introduced us and the rest as they say is history. I don’t see that it is really something you can set out to achieve as it just happens but I guess you at least need to be looking. All journeys starting with a single step and all that.
