How I did it: Well. I went to Norway and I couldn't really leave, so I just stuck with it for the semester. :) Boyfriend was there, so that helped, but it also made it harder to be independent. Speaking English made me feel embarrassed. Etc. Read how I did it…
How I did it: All I know how to do is the basic knit stitch (and I'm told that the "American" way of doing it is cumbersome). I also use hugeass needles. So that limits me to making kind of gnarly looking scarves, oh well. I applied my method to some very soft green yarn I've had for 4 years or more. Made a scarf for my boyf 15 stitched wide (on #10 needles I think) and lots of stitches long.I always forget how to cast off, so I had to learn that over,… Read how I did it…

it used to be dramatic and fun! but i am a shy person stuck in norway for the semester (a country of shy people). so whatever. i really “bloom” in a more familiar situation, i promise.
