since I can now play a few tunes with both hands, can read a lot of notes and find them on the keys, can play a few chords, and add the pedal every now and then, I’d say I’ve learned. What I’ve learned most is that I have lots more to learn. I love when I can actually make it sound like music! That’s the biggest payoff. Playing Happy Birthday for someone on thier birthday was a big moment too. I will keep up the lessons and practice, and maybe be able to play some jazz some day.

Going well
I think that this goal is going well. I have been taking lessons for a while now, and feel comfortable moving on. I like my teacher, and don’t mind practicing (most of the time). Actually, I think I can say I’ve reached this goal. I played Happy Birthday for someone on thier birthday… this is something I could never have done even 3 months ago.
This is sooo hard!

I quit my weekend job, but now I’m struggling to get by without the extra cash. I’m trying to cut back on some things, but I’m used to having the flexibility to do just about anything I want…if I had the time. Now I have time, just not much money.
AAARRRGH. What am I going to do?
