It is 3am, I woke and couldn’t go back to sleep. Looking forward to the day’s writing. Time to put notes in diary about what I will write today. For me, small daily progress is better than frantic bursts of activity, because that will help me build a good writing habit

How I did it: ~ I tried and failed many times before I finally quit~ When I failed, I tried again another time~ Once I gave up for a few years then started again~ I ignored anyone who made jokes or negative comments~ I wrote a list of benefits and negatives of quitting~ I worked out what it was costing me each week and year~ I wrote how I was feeling about quitting in a diary so I could read it back later and remember~ I used patches even though they g… Read how I did it…
Same time, same place, set a quota of hours or words. Last thing at night, decide what I will write the next morning and do it.
