How I did it: Began researching through my university. I think that through a program or school is the best way if you are still in school. There are so many things you don't think about that because they've been hosting students for years they know every problem that could possibly arise and foresee it and stamp it out early, or let you know how to fix these things when they do come up. I went to London, England and lived and worked at an internship h… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It was a long process. Began in high school, I joined the cross country team and began to run at least three miles a day, a wonderful experience that improved my mental and physical agility. I dropped 15 pounds in a month. When you run that often, you stop wanting to eat awful things because you know you will think about them later when you are pushing up that hill in the end of your afternoon run. Last fall, I worked part time too much and didn’t spend enough time on school—expecting it to be as easy as it has been in the past couple of semesters…Needless to say, my gpa fell to a 3.15, and I was on probation for my scholarship.
So, this semester, I worked my rear off. I made As on all of my exams, which pulled up every one of my grades. In Microeconomics, I made a B, International Relations an A-, Italian a B+, and Feature Writing an A-for a 3.5 GPA!! My cumulative was brought up to a 3.38! So close to my record 3.41-can’t lose sight of goals this semester. If I hit the ground running, then I’ll stay ahead so much longer…
The old lady I clean for wants a 2nd violinist for her quartet! So now, she is copying me music all the time, and soon, soon, I will find the time to start practicing it!
