I'm doing 17 things
I love my sister to pieces, honestly, but I’ve been so wrapped up in my own world lately I’ve forgotten to be there for her too.
We’ve never been extremely close but we’ve always stuck by each other and been there when needed. But lately she’s started to retreat into her shell, exactly like I did when I was her age. I suspect that she may be getting teased at school and I want her to know that I’ll always be there for her to talk to. Because there’s such a big age gap between us it’s not really feasible for me to talk to her about my problems but I’m hoping that she’ll feel comfortable enough to come to me about hers.
I’m worried about how she’s feeling about our parent’s recent split aswell and I think we need to have a talk so she understands exactly what’s happening and doesn’t misplace the blame or have false hopes.
I haven’t been the best sister in the past, I can be a right cow to her at times, to put it politely, but I really hope I can make amends and take the chance to be the sister she needs.
