... realised this is something people do! How long did it take me seriously! But its a great thing, really to have two wardrobes, so you can literally leave your work persona behind and be another part of you… I love that I can be classic at work and funky outside it, its like being a teenager again and experimenting with new looks!

How I did it: I can't believe this, after years of thinking, oh I must do it, try it, go for it, I happened to be looking at classes yesterday and lo and behold I found one that started tonight- so I booked it and ended up going to my first ballet class. That easy! And it was as fun and stretchy as I thought it would be, really great. A hundered times more fun than yoga! And the shoes are cute. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I can't say I've solved this forever, but I guess I have realised that there are friends for different occasions, and actually the main thing that proves friendship is time. And I can look back and think of the people currently in my life that they have proved themselves with time, and those that are still to prove themselves, I await this with joy! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did it totally by accident, was literally looking the other way... no, I went through this period focusing on sorting myself out and then when I met him it was really lovely and natural and I think it was because I totally didn't expect, mean, search or intend for it. I am happy and totally recommend looking the other way. Read how I did it…
See all "How I Did It" stories...
- have time before work to just get ready in calm
- remember to put on jewellry before I run out of the house!
- maybe have 15 minutes to read in bed whilst I eat brekkie?
- consider half an hour to write a story before breakfast?
So here is the advice I’ve gathered from other 43thingers:
- find a reason to get out of bed (ie working on a personal project, a TV show)
- Thinking more carefully about the time I really need to wake up instead of just hitting the snooze button because I’ve factored in half hour. Sleep better than coming in and our of snoozing.
- “A to do list and the first thing was to have breakfast so i could sit for a moment and evaluate my day “
