3 years in...too late to quit

Well, it’s been almost 3 years since I signed my soul to the advancement of the biological sciences. It has been long. It has been tiring. And I want out.

60-70 hour work weeks, very little social life, the need to think about science 90% of the day, inability to function “normally,” the constant belittling. I’m tired.

But after 3 years, it seems stupid to quit now. The end of 2008, if I am lucky, will mean graduation. 1.5 years and I’ll be a doc…
