I did it! 7 months ago

This morning. 31:33.32, ranked #129.

The race was in a cemetery which made for a Gothic backdrop. There was a massive hill that we had to run over four times. I allowed myself to walk three separate occasions which added up to 2 minutes of my total.

Still, I haven’t been this proud of myself in a long time.

Totally worth it.

I submitted my registration and check yesterday. No turning back. I will run my first 5K on March 28.

I ran 4 miles non-stop today! That ties my personal record that I set 8 years ago.

I’m aiming to run 5 miles comfortably so that 3 miles are no longer difficult. That is the advice I’ve heard several times from experiences runners—you must be able to run quite a bit further than the race distance.
