How I did it: The hardest part is talking yourself into it. If you're sure you want to, you're already done. :) When I started, my hair was about shoulder length. I cut it with scissors until it was only about half an inch long, all over my head. Then I wet the hair, covered it in regular shaving cream, and let it soak for a while. I don’t think anything makes me happier than filling up a bookcase, and then just staring at the lovely lovely books. Alphabetizing is thrilling.
I’m actually quite proud. I only have about 150 books, edited down to the ones I’m not embarrassed to own, and the bookcase is small but it’s full and I’m still in high school.
Now I need another one, I suppose. Aha, I think I’ve cracked the secret to growing a library…
I finished The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac. Really lovely book, and I liked it more than I did On the Road. It took me a little less than a week, but would’ve taken less time if I’d set time aside for reading. As it was, I was sneaking pages during school. So, my total is up to 39 books and 12,600 pages! Yay! But… I also discovered a couple of books that I’d neglected to include on the list in the first place. So really I’m just back a book. Oh well.

Also, come to think of it, I’ve been meaning to buy Northanger Abbey...bollocks.
