Take the SAT
practicing 3 days ago

Practice went great yesterday. I got an 800 on the reading comprehension!! 750: English, 690: Math.

I also took the practice SAT subject test for Literature. 700 on that.. I’m dreading the SAT Math II test. I really feel ill prepared. I always make stupid little mistakes. I know the material, but I’m just not fast enough. :(

Very sad news. I had to quit to study for the SAT in Dec. Intellectually I know I’ll need the extra study time, but I’m not quite there emotionally yet. I miss the class, especially Debbie and Kim.

I’m going to take it again this spring. On the bright side I’ll have a head start. (sigh) I know I’m not quitting but it still feels like I am…

(Oh, I got an 85 on the last quiz, and if I’d read the directions on one of the problems correctly I would’ve gotten a 90… Man, this sucks)

2nd Test 1 month ago

Well, my first test bombed. However, thanks to extra credit work and some quizzes, I bumped it up to a low C.

On my last test I learned from my mistakes and got a B. If I had read the directions a little more carefully I would have gotten an A. (sigh)

The study session we did the day before was a lifesaver. I studied for a total of 8 hours that day. I was actually doing calculus in my dreams. o.O Our study group now meets every Monday after class which is definitely helping. A great lady in my class, Debbie, has been basically re-teaching us. Anyway, she totally cleared up the Mean Value Theorem for me.

(crosses fingers) Here’s hoping for an A!
