I have been having some problem with Verizon. I called about these and a rant ensued which included a complaint that I was being charged for NOT having long distnace. This is an overage charge (~5 per month). I was under th impression that this was like a penalty for not having LD service. What I learned is that I was being charged for having LD service (hu) but not using a minimum number of minutes. I don’t know how I could have been more clear that I wanted NO LD. So I insisted that my LD be cancelled and the overage fee for the past couple months refunded. So be on the lookout for this if you cancel LD.

Had a great party- I don’t think I would do such a big party again, but it was fun and made me feel like I have lots of people who care about me.

We got a pretty good deal on cell’s through Verizon. We only have the limited local calls plan at home now. Combined with one-bill, it should only be about $10/ month, down from $50 or more. Of course we are paying the difference on our cells now, so we probably netted out, but it makes more sense for us.
