I have always been told that I was part indian. I assumed that it was some distant relation somehow. Until two years ago when I discovered that my grandfather was 99% indian. How this is possible I do not know, but it has made me more interested in discovering my indian roots.

move back to the south
Homesick 4 years ago

I’ve been living in Chicago for 5 years with my husband and the longer I am here, the more homesick for the ways of the south I become. The longer I am away the more I realize that south is where I belong.

UPDATE… January is fast approaching!!! Georgia here I come!

I played one once when I was in the 3rd grade and have wanted to learn to play it ever since. However, being a military brat, finding someone to teach and staying around long enough to take lessons was always difficult. As an adult, I still stop to listen every time I hear one. One day I will finally be at the right time and place to learn.
