I did this in 2005 (for the first time) as a challenge to myself, and found it surprisingly easy once I got into a routine.

It was rewarding creatively and finished with over 55,000 words on November 25.


Minimize existing clutter and excess possessions
I've been working on it ... 2 years ago

I actually started trying to minimize a couple years ago, but it’s a battle against a pack rat husband to let go of things. It’s not like we have many material possessions, but too much for my taste.

Sooo … I’m focusing just on my own personal stuff and slowly giving away to friends, charity and Freecycle.


Give away a bunch of clothes I've been meaning to give away for a long time
Finally Started 2 years ago

I gathered up a bunch of my mom’s clothing. She died a few years ago, but I haven’t been able to push myself to give away her things. I put together a huge amount and donated to a local charity. It was hard, but rewarding at the same time.
