This is an intermediary goal to help me walk on my hands. These require balance and strength. I`m starting as soon as I complete my goal of 100 consecutive push ups. I can already do 98, and expect to start on these one handed ones next week.

How I did it: Loosely followed the workout on hundredpushups.com I would do at least the same workout, and often take intermediary workouts between program days. Remember your protein. Strong heart is also important, past the 60th push up, in addition to strength, it is also physically exhausting. Many of the workouts I failed using too much rest time, or collapsed near the end, but I always came back. Consistency is key. A coup… Read how I did it…
Do yourself a favor 1976, and keep to the program on the break time. Sometimes I cheat during the work out, but I keep on that day until I can do it without cheating.
I`m on week 6 day 3 column 2. I completed it with 1 minute breaks, and 3 minutes before the final set a few days ago. Today I did it with the program 45 second breaks and a minute 45 seconds before the final. Upon the 46 push up, I collapsed in exhaustion (the minimum is 55), regardless I felt much better for trying to do a good job and failing than trying to half ass it and succeeding. For my next attempt I will be lowering my final break to 1 minute and 30 seconds
The program goes into high gear on week 5. The principle is to lower break times, and eventually eliminate them. THE IDEA IS NOT TO GET THERE BY TAKING LONG BREAKS AND ADVANCING PREMATURELY
I still remember one of my friends doing this almost 10 years ago, and for the last year it has been one of my goals. I´ve been working hard to get there. What is needed to accomplish this is strength and balence. For strength I`ve been increasing my push up capacity. Right now, I`m just 3 short of a hundred consecutive. Upon completion of the 100 push ups, I`ll transition to 1 handed push ups and inverted hand stand push ups. Along with the increase in strength, improved balance will also be developed. Also to help develop balance, I do yoga. Recently I`ve transitioned from shoulder stands to head stands and finnally to hand stands. At first the shoulder stands were unbelievably difficult because of blood rushing to the head, and dissorientation. This fades after a week. The hand stands are developing slowly, but I`m optimistic about making my first steps in the next few weeks, and with the ultimate goal of walking 25 yards on my hands.
