I hate to admit it, but I own 4 copies of the book, as well as the video of Ms. Garvey’s version as well as Ms. Ehle’s outing as the indomitable Lizzie in P&P. Sorry, but despite the best efforts of Donald Sutherland as Papa Bennett, the most recent version is simply too butchered to view. The writer’s apparently felt that folks in the 21st century are as dumb as the ground in the pigsty. Anyhow, I will be watching Collin Firth and Jennifer Ehle exercise their battle of wit again tomorrow.

I’ve got 20 semester units [six classes] that have carried over, plus the 9 units currently going which join the incomplete list sometime in mid-May. No time, 2 kids, 2 neurotic cats, and to make things worse I seem to be developing Carpal Tunnel [did I mention this is a Master’s in Instructional Design—uses computers for everything!]
