I’m working on this goal by preparing myself for grad school in a field I love, psychology. It’s going to be a very long road, but I like road trips ;-) I can handle the work and even the bullshit politics, because I love psychology.

How I did it: It was easy to find a nearby studio on Google and sign up. I didn't have any appropriate footwear, so I also went to a dance shop and bought some shoes. Read how I did it…
I started on this goal last week by going to a Toastmasters meeting. They asked if I wanted to try one of the impromptu speeches, and I said YES. The topic was very personal, so it was pretty awkward and embarrassing.
The good news is that I went back today, and it went better. I was still pretty nervous, but the speaking felt a little more natural. I’m looking forward to becoming more comfortable up there so I can express myself more fully.
After a long hiatus, I’m taking lessons again. It’s so much fun, and I hadn’t really forgotten the things I learned before. My goal is to keep practicing every day, at least an hour and preferably two. This hasn’t really been as hard as I thought, since it’s so much fun!
