I’m probably up for spending about $200…maybe a little more. I need to be able to work with knits, and I need a buttonholer that isn’t impossible to use. (Buttonholes scare me.) So where can I get a lot of bang for my buck? I knew how to sew once upon a time but I’d like to be MUCH better at it.

to make each day slightly magical. The good thing about today was the preschool picnic—good to see my girl playing with her friends. And when someone else’s big brother got mean with her, she dealt with it well. I think she’ll have a good sense of self, my daughter. I feel like I’m doing something right, although this morning she watched massive amounts of TV while I cooked. (I love it that she likes Handy Manny so much.)
