Daily: Reflect on 5 things for which I'm grateful. (read all 274 entries…)
Monday, I am grateful:

1. for getting my very first Mother’s Day bouquet from my partner, for my presence in his daughter’s life. And also received messages from his mom and stepmom. Very sweet.

2. for the beautiful bouquet with three different kinds of roses. Gorgeous.

3. for settling in and spending evenings on the new couch.

4. for love and affection.

5. for a wonderful time recording workshop I just listened to. Great speaker.

Daily poetry 2013 (read all 10 entries…)
Practice news avoidance daily

It feels like the end
times; the news speaking in code.
Take cover! Grab your

gun. Armaggeddon
as sky falls, I put a shield
over my head. We

run fast but not fast
enough for cruel plots. Heartbreak
later on the prime

time report, dismay,
tears. We’ll shake the shrapnel off,
hoping for a clean

new day, quiet air.
I want to hear my heart beat
over the cold dead news.

April recap and May intentions:

Weirdness! I typed my intentions for May and then I absent-minded marked this goal done instead of entering the post. Hmmm. I don’t really feel like filling it in again so I’ll edit this later. My intentions for this month are to use time wisely and increase my cash flow. That’s all for now.

Guidelines for myself:
I am visible, engaged and proactive in all aspects of my life.
I face my life directly and do the tough things first.
I reach out to a loving and wise support system to get the help, information and direction that I need and I say thank you.

New Paradigm:
Incremental efforts yield steady progress.

Major Focus:
My own coach

1. Gold time weekly and bootcamp daily (addresses mental and physical health)

March was tough because I was sick for so much of it. I didn’t do yoga. I spent most of the month using natural remedies and rinsing my nose out with a neti pot. I also had a doctor’s appointment where the doctor simply said to keep up the good work!
April: Begin doing yoga again every morning. This will be good, will help me find more movement in my life and help uplift my mood.

2. Follow UA program (addresses time and money)

March: I wrote more steps and began a budget on PearBudget. I love the simplicity of it.:)
April: Do taxes and keep up with UA and PearBudget. Also, focus on time recording.

3. Flylady (addresses homecare)

March: I haven’t been at my place this month very much so haven’t been up to date with the missions.
April: Pack up my place and move.

4. Spend two to three hours a week marketing (and studying marketing) and maintaining my practice and attend LJ’s continuing ed course).

March: Kind of a bust with my illness.
April: Back on track with social networking and lessons.

5. 1-2 times a month cook a romantic meal and once a month go to a play or concert.

March: It’s been a little challenging this month.
April: Carry on.

6. Once a month, plan a fun outing with little A.

March: Ironically, she was sick in February and now I was sick in March.
April: Carry on.

7. Once a week, mail a card and twice a month, make plans with a friend.

March: No cards and one plan.
April: Carry on.

8. 5-7 demos a week.

March: About that.
April: Carry on.

9. Yoga 30 min. a day and once dance class a week.

March: See above
April: Daily yoga and look into flamenco class.

10. One poem a day and attend Rhino each month.

Both were bust.
March goal: Daily poetry and attend workshop.
