How I did it: I took an extension course at a local university because I could not learn how to purl from a book. I've been to a couple of knitting groups since then in order to socialize with other knitters, but I'm very shy and I didn't gel with them, so I never went back.It's hard not knowing people who can knit or who are solitary knitters. In order to accomplish this goal, I will have to go to the gym at least 3x a week, which is a separate goal. Unfortunately, the gym that I’ve signed up for doesn’t open for another 2-3 weeks. Supposedly.
I took lessons for 11 weeks. I’m on a break during the summer, but I plan to resume during the Fall. Surprisingly, I didn’t forget everything.
