The first time I saw northern lights I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. It was just a ribbon of translucent green slowly winding its way across the sky in central Alberta. We watched it for hours.
The most vivid I’ve seen were in Moncton New Brunswick. When I looked up, I thought there was a fire somewhere on the horizon. But the orange-red glow slowly rose up higher in the sky, and was joined by streaks of blueish green and yellow, filling half the sky with light. I wish I would have had a camera!

Get bumped up to first class!

Wear nice clothes when you fly and be nice to the people at the gate. Sometimes they’ll bump you up to first class! It’s the nicest surprise ever. You can drink champagne right through the flight and then have Baileys in your coffee after dinner:) Yum.
this is totally doable

but can be a huge pain in the butt!
I shot a short on 16mm earlier this summer and would love to do another one, but may have to settle for video until I have more $$ or an idea good enough to collect grants for!
I want to learn more about the production and editing processes!
