I donated blood through Pugest Sound Blood Center about a month ago. Finally they sent an email to me telling me my blood type.

How I did it: I ran for distance once per week and for speed once per week for the last 3 months. That's when I ran my first 5k in 25:52. On speed days I did sprinting and jogging intervals, with no walking, for 20 minutes. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started running in Februray (from being completely out of shape), and did my first 5k in April. Since then I've ran twice per week, and lately I've been doing one distance run and one speed run each week. I was prepared to do this 8k, but I wish it had been a flat course. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought a bicycle and just went for it. Technically I only ride for about 1/3 of the way (5 miles in the morning, 11 in the evening) and take the bus the rest of the way. Taking the bike/bus combo is much faster than just going by bus like I used to. I've been doing this for just over a month now, and haven't missed a day yet. I even did fine in the rain, other than my shoes/socks getting soaked. I plan on buying booties for that soon. Read how I did it…

Well I had several thousand saved, but I bought a car, a vacation to Orlando, and my former boss hasn’t given me about $3,000 worth of paychecks. So my savings is down to a couple hundred dollars. It won’t get better too quick either, because I need to buy a dishwasher and water heater. Hope I can get back on track soon.
I completed my first triathlon two days ago – an olympic distance. Next year I’d like to try the half-Ironman.
