I know it’s been a while since I updated this entry.

In the last 2 years my fitness has improved a hell of a lot, although jumping rope went by the way side.

About a year ago I started hill running and to begin with it absolutely killed me and I couldn’t even get to the top of the hill once, now I can manage between 7 and 8 sets.

I passed my black belt 2 years ago

I passed my Shodan (1st Dan black belt) this afternoon after a gruelling 4 hour grading that accumulated in a 10 man Kumite.

As strange as it sounds (sitting here aching all over with my legs hurting as they keep cramping up) I really enjoyed the experience, I’m a big fan of trying to be outside my comfort zone, learning from new experiences and in effect learning to love discomfort both physical and mental.

Getting there! - 2nd KYU 3 years ago

It’s been a while since I updated this entry so I thought I had better get on with it!

I’m now a 2nd KYU (Brown belt with a white stripe) it’s been a very hard task in the last year or so but I’m really enjoying the training and the people I train with.
