A songwriter without peer IMHO. Proof that if you have something important or relevant to say, it doesn’t much matter what your voice sounds like.
Many musical pundits would say that Dylan did his best work in the 60s with his songs of political unrest. I wholeheartedly disagree. I believe Dylan’s best work are the love songs he wrote in the 70s and beyond. A couple of my personal favorites are from the album “Blood on the Tracks” released in 1974. You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go and Simple Twist of Fate.
I’m getting close to one year and it might be time to start planning my drive to Philly to do a Rocky run up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I’m only half joking here folks :)
I am really proud of this achievement. I could call this one done right now…I’m totally confident I will never smoke again, but it seems appropriate to end it ceremoniously on my one year anniversary…maybe in Philly…or maybe just biking 20 miles on a glorious early April day in Upstate NY…either way, it’ll be great!!! :)
For anyone/everyone that is making the effort to kick cigarettes…you CAN do it. You absolutely CAN.
