Do NaNoWriMo
NaNo 2011 is go (stage: planning)

I did this last November, and I’m grateful I got through the exercise. I’m really looking forward to doing it again this year, and I’ve already got some really good notes and ideas about where to go.

I live in the Bay Area, too, so I’m hoping that I can raise enough money to make the Night of Writing Dangerously again. I had a great time last year, and it was by far the most words I’ve ever written in a single year. I had been afraid that it would be difficult to concentrate in such an environment. It was — but having to try so hard made it easier to focus very closely.

Plus, two words: WORD SPRINTS.

Excited!

If you’re interested in helping me get to Night of Writing Dangerously, my donation page is here:

I’m totally willing to discuss recompense, too. Need some help with your own goal? Want to be a character in my novel? Want a writing buddy? Hit me up! :)

My name on the NaNo boards is RowanD (http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/80255)

Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

stop drinking soda (read all 3 entries…)
Untitled

I like soda.

I like soda in moderation.

I know it’s unhealthy, and I know I have better options.

That’s why I don’t drink it every day or with every meal. I went from drinking at least 1-2 cans of soda per day to having maybe 2-3 fountain drinks a week.

I consider this progress and I am satisfied.
