The first chapter is available my completed goals under the heading ‘How to write a dark & spooky story for my partner.’ I am currently working on chapter six and encourage comments that will help me to improve upon the story. I will also be willing to make later chapters available to those who are interested in seeing how the story develops, although I do not wish to give away too much before the final edit, and thus the complete manuscript (yet to be completed) will not be made available to anyone with (perhaps) the exception of serious interested publishers.
I have long put off writing about Vampires. It seems to me that the market is saturated with vampire tales. I do love Vampires though. I always have and find the abundance of vampire media both wonderful and distressing all at the same time. So much of what is out there is utter crap: garbage produced to appease small minds. On the other hand films such as Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, The Lost Boys, and even the classic Nosferatu are true master pieces. Beyond this (and I apologize if I’ve missed any greats and have certainly not seen and read all) we, the dedicated Vampire lovers, are accosted with a spectrum of vampire media ranging from ‘okay’ to made-for-t.v. rubbish.
I do not claim that I can offer anything that will enhance vampire literature. I write because I am compelled to do so and because it is the thrilling ride to witness ones own tale unfold before the eyes.
