One of my best friends in the whole world is spending a few months working at Yellowstone National Park. There is obviously no internet or really a phone line, so we’ve been keeping in touch via good ole fashioned pen and paper. He’s keeping this goal afloat just by living in the boonies with the bison (Thanks Jeff!) It’s crazy how easily motivated I am to write to him because there is no other (more technologically advanced) option to fall back on.

I was in the bookstore the other day and saw a flier for a women’s writing workshop that puts you in touch with Colorado writers and publishers. I’m going to go and see what it’s all about! I’m in journalism but I don’t have any connections to publishing or promotions or anything like that. Anyone in the Boulder area can come Jan. 20 at the Boulder Bookstore on Pearl.
