How I did it: I wanted this, and let nothing stop Me. I set a date, made an airline reservation, bled profusely, regrouped, rescheduled, postponed until October. W/we hoped and planned, wished and longed, and in the end I got on that plane. I arrived, and he smiled. Our eyes met. Recent entries
a hint of it, at least, a tentative glimmer. It’s something I’d lost, but I only realized its absence by virtue of its return. Something precious and rare, not quantifiable, but of immense value. Those of U/us who have felt it will know it in an instant, beyond words. Those who have not, I wish it for you, someday. Every day.
