its fun writing poetry, and you develop a great sense of accomplishment when you get it published. But don’t think that’s the only way your poem will get read! I’ve only published-published one poem, and that was in 2nd grade ;) (yes, i’ve been writing for awhile lol). But i find that sometimes, you just got to do ur own sort of distribution. Let people you know read your works, write poems for people (holidays, eulogies), write what’s on ur mind. no matter if you get published or not, your work is special. and at least one person you give it to will love it. don’t be afraid to share it by your own means :) that is truly the greatest accomplishment.

i haven’t learned how to pitch (although my sister is a fantastic pitcher) but fastpitch softball is really an awesomely intense sport. it really resembles baseball in regards to the pitching speed. my high school (spalding) was intense. but if you can stop and smell the roses once in a while, making friends and having good clean fun, those are the moments that are the best :)

Running is an amazing experience. Not only do you feel more confident about yourself and your body, but the endorphins after running make you feel happy, full of energy, and excited to be alive :) If you time yourself every once in a while, it is an amazing experience of self-determination, trial, error, and sucess. By overcoming the limitations of your body, you develop a sense that you can do anything, that you are unstoppable. and indeed, you are! :)
