Honestly, I’d rather spend the day cooking and cleaning than putting my nose to the grindstone for a paycheck. I’d much rather be home for my (future) husband. A lot of people think that it’s lazy and self-absorbed to not want to work for a living, but being a housewife is what would give me true satisfaction and fulfillment. I hope I don’t have to remain in the soul-crushing world of work forever. . . . sigh

My reasons for wanting to learn:
Japanese – so I won’t have to rely on subtitles/translations when watching anime or reading manga (and I don’t have to wait forever for new series to reach stateside.)
French – because there are a lot of Francophone nations I want to visit.
Italian – I love opera and don’t want to rely on superscripts anymore when I go see a performance.
Other languages I’m considering:
Welsh
Korean
Chinese
German
Greek
Russian
