That it can be exposed and show the world

To show itself to
To engulf in a love so powerful
A love only capable of being felt

A love so powerful and pure
That nothing can taint it, nothing can change it
Men come and they go
And still it lingers waiting
For you to make yourself known
So that you can be shown
The greatness of true love’s gift

I Never Knew

I never knew life could be this hard
And that I could lose my way so easily
Never knew how much I’d long to say three little words
Or to feel your familiar warm embrace
I never knew how much I would miss it all
How much I’d miss just hearing your voice
Or to see you waiting there when I got home
Or that I’d come to regret all the things I said
And all the things I left unspoken
I never knew the way my heart could break
And my soul to cry a million tears
Just to wake up the next morning
And cry a million more
I never knew what it would be like
To go on through life without you there
And to think of all the memories never to be made
Or how many pages of my life you filled
Never knew how often your face could appear in my mind
Or memories shared with you
I never knew what I’d be missing when you were gone
Or the comfort you could bring
I never knew that life could be this way
That I could feel this pain
And I never knew how much I would be losing
By losing the greatest man to come into my life
