How I did it: By remembering to check in with myself about how much energy, time and attention I was giving and how much I needed back and not being afraid to voice that, or to let go when I wasn't getting fulfilled. Read how I did it…
So…. I started this almost three months ago… and I am still stuck in the first week.
I got into a good flow with my morning pages for a while there… I’d miss a morning or two… I’d get halfway down the first page occasionally and be so bored with myself that I’d want to stop… but I kept going.
UNTIL I bought that damn morning pages journal. Sold specifically for the purpose of writing your morning pages. Divided by week/chapters, quotes from the book on each page and exactly enough pages for seven days in each section.
My flow stopped. I have only done three since I bought it three weeks ago. The pages are gigantic and I think… that I am going to go buy a pretty journal that I feel good about writing in and use the ready-made one for exercises and maybe check-ins
I’ll start the first week again. artist date planned for Sunday :-D
