So. Yesterday the cold shower really helped me wake up and get things done. Today, not so much. I guess having 5 hours of sleep sort of ruins the effect. We’ll see how the rest of the week goes.

I’ve been going to the gym and lifting weights (casually) for the better part of 2 years. However, I feel like it isn’t really benefiting my health all that much. Add to this the fact that my school’s gym has pretty limited hours of operation, and I just can’t sustain a routine there.
I’ve been suffering from fatigue, and need to do an overhaul of my morning routine. A bit of cardio seems like it might behoove me.
So. I’m going to take up jogging. I don’t need a gym to do it, just legs. I live in downtown Portland, OR and it is quite beautiful in the morning…when it’s not raining. That might impede this goal, but I’ve never tried jogging in the rain. Maybe it’s not so bad.
In addition to cold showers and better cardiovascular fitness, I plan to be in bed between 9 and 11 at night and be up by 7 a.m.
I’ve just been so tired during the day lately…I finally wake up fully by the time the sun goes down, but the fatigue is making it hard to achieve a lot of other personal goals that are only viable during daylight hours.
I plan to use a very small dose of Benadryl to get myself to bed early and then drag myself out of bed at the sound of my alarm. I honestly don’t know how else to go about it. Then once I’ve adjusted to the new schedule everything should be clear sailing. I hope…
