I’ve actually started loosing weight; started when I was 17st 11lb. I’m now 17st 1lb. So, another 29lb should take me to 15st where I think i’ll be happy. The charts say I should be 14st max, but I think 15st is a good goal to aim for.

I have a couple of small debts (a loan and an over draft) and then one huge mortgage (well it’s not a big a most people’s but feels that way to me). Anyway, I want to Be Dept Free so I can spend the interest I’m paying on other things.

I’ve done quite a bit of cooking in the past, mainly Indian style and Italian; not from a jar but by using propoer fresh ingredients. Trouble is I’ve only ever done the simple stuff and often avoided anything complicated for fear of failure when I should have seen it as a learning experience!
We are having a new kitchen fitted at the moment so won;t be able to start this until a few weeks time.
My approach will be to choose a dish and spend time preparing and planning as opposed to just rushing into things.
