I already have ‘stop procrastinating’ on my list but i liked this goal too and consider it to be somewhat different. Plus, if i achieve this, i achieve two goals at once :-)
My main priority is to learn time management at home. At work it seems no problem at all, but then i have deadlines to hold on too. I guess that’s the key for me!

How I did it: Just keep your nails groomed continuously. Do not let them grow too long, and use a lot of nail polish. You don't want to ruin your beautifully polished nails ;-) Read how I did it…
How I did it: Discipline, discipline, discipline! Sounds boring but i tried to keep the schedule tight. After work and after the daily chores (diner, cleaning, phone calls etc..) instead of hanging in front of the TV or surfing on the internet i forced myself to write at least 2 k every night. Week 2 is going surprisingly well! I finally got into the “heat” of the plot but am worrying I’m going a little too fast… I have a little over 23 k now. And hopefully I’ll have enough ideas left to make it to the big 50k! But i do have enough characters i guess, so maybe i’ll have to introduce some sub-plots here and there. The end of the week is going to be rather busy for me so hopefully i will not fall behind.
But it is good to know that everyone is struggling (maybe some more than others) with the same issues. Hang in there folks!
to thank you all for posting here about your experiences with NaNoWriMo so far: hopes or fears, whatever.. It inspires me to continue writing each night after work, even when I’m exhausted and totally not inspired. Reached the 10.000 words yesterday, so I’m attacking the next 10.000 tonight! Keep it up!
