I was SOOO going to do this on my trip to West Ed, but then we never ended up going to the water park.
BAH!
I was SOOO going to do this on my trip to West Ed, but then we never ended up going to the water park.
BAH!
I’ve decided to take this one off the list; mostly because of the admiration I’ve been getting from my friend Adianne. She calls me a “hoopstress” ;0)
I still have much to learn about hooping but I’ve come far enough to be able to shout proudly that I am a hoop dancer!!
So far so good on this one. I made myself a huge hoop and learned several moves with it. Lately I’ve been using a small kids hoop, which is amazing because it used to be so hard to even keep up, let alone do any tricks with it.
I’m hoping to start a hoop dancing class in January.
Well… I’ve gone and done it. I bought the best camera I can stand to afford. I have already started taking more pictures and hope the obsession with this camera never dies. This goal is coming off the list, it will go back on it though if I don’t maintain it.
I made my own hula hoop the other week, along with 3 others for friends. They are perfect; and VERY addicting. Once I pick it up I end up hooping for at least an hour. I’ve got bruises all over the arms and legs since it’s so heavy. Hopefully that won’t happen once I’m better, or I’ll build up some resistance to it.
I’m working on being able to complete my PSIII teaching Practicum in Australia. It would be grea to be there for four solid months, even though I’d be terribly busy the entire time.
I’m not a bad cook and pretty much always cook from scratch. I haven’t make KD once since moving out of my parents, I’ll always buy pasta and different sauces and mix them with loads of veggies myself. I never use recipes though, so my goal will include developing a repetoire of great recipes instead of constantly just throwing things together in a pan.
On Sunday night I performed fire poi for the first time in public. I think there was only maybe 50 or 60 people there but my mom thinks it was way more. Either way it was awesome. People were cheering and taking pictures. It was such a rush! I was really nervous and shaking before I went on but as soon as the music starting I calmed down a lot. Although I was thinking more about singing when I started this goal, but performing in front of people in any way should help me to be more comfortable in general.
I had a cleaning this morning and the dentist told me that the spot we were watching that could’ve developed into a cavity is now looking fine. This goal will come off my list but I’ll keep flossing, maybe not everyday but at least every second or third. It’s better then nothing, which is what I used to do.
For this goal I will make a post if I have flossed successfully every night for a week. I’m at 3 days in a row today. I was doing it everyday for over a month but didn’t floss once while I was at Shambhala.
I think this goal is pretty vague. I get plenty of exercise already. Really I’m hoping to build some muscle in my arms and increase my flexibility and stamina. My workouts will include cardio, weight training and some yoga or pilates for flexibility.
Maybe this goal will be easier if I record each time I try to do the splits.
So twice, lastnight and this morning.
I have two full pages typed up for a story. So far it outlines the society/environment that the character lives in and the beginning of the character’s situation. The solution/ending is still very vague but the clouds will part eventually.
I am always fascinated when people liquid dance, since I most likely won’t ever have the upper body strength to break dance, maybe this can be an alternative for me.
The past two weekends I took more pictures then I have all year. Very few of them actually turned out, but when my new camera comes I’m determined to read the manual inside and out.
This goal should be the easiest to finish on my list and yet it continues to be really hard to accomplish.
I don’t care what kind of book I write or even if it gets published. It would just be nice to tell a story and have it is written word rather then simply talk about the idea’s I have.
I am now registered for a photography course for this fall. It will definitely help me to take better pictures of my artwork.
I’ve decided that as soon as I buy a new camera I will take the challenge of capturing at least one photo everyday. I will post them when I can. My goal is to do this for an entire year.
