How I did it: I started running in January 2009. I couldn't run very far so I had to build up my distance, over several weeks. Eventually I went from running 1 minute at a time to being able to run for 10 minutes with a 1 minute walk break after every 10 minutes. The longest that I've been able to run has been 10 km so I entered a couple of 10km races. How I did it: It was scary at first to get rid of the old baggy clothes that don't fit anymore, but once I started paring down a few items it felt liberating.As I took the items out of my closet, I began to realize that the old clothes no longer reflect the person I am today.
