Well that was a bad idea... 2 years ago

I had two glasses of wine, was sicker than a dog, slept horrible, had restless leg syndrome so bad I had to sleep on the couch and then I woke up about 4 times. I finally went back to bed at 1:30, woke up at 5:30 all sweaty and with a headeache. Yeah, I want to do that again real soon. Drinking sucks. I dont feel guilty for what I did and I dont care that I only completed a week of sobriety. Thats an entire week longer than I have been sober for the past 5 years! Its a really good start and last night was a real eye opener. About the only thing it was helpful with was it distracted me from my life for a couple of hours. Hell, a good book would do that! I can honest to God say I dont crave it anymore after experiencing what I did last night because I thought that the wine was making all of that go away and it was actually creating all of those things instead! I feel free.

Not exactly a set back but had to have a glass of wine... 2 years ago

Wait, let me finish the sentance. “Not exactly a set back, but I had to have a glass of wine before I SCREAM!” deep sigh. Only one glass, I promise. My 15 year old is grounded and that means no tv, drums, computer, telephone, game console, driving lesson, skateboard or bike. So I have been his form of entertainment since he got up this morning. We planned the Thanksgiving menu, went grocery shopping, baked a cake from scratch, made the frosting from scratch, baked cookies and now I am sitting down to watch Borat by myself. Thank God for a large house. I am fine and will check in tomorrow. Have a great evening all!
