be feminine, not a feminist
I tried this in high school...

and it really wasn’t worth it. If it isn’t possible to do both, I recommend being a feminist. By being assertive and taking responsibility for one’s own actions, one can gain respect for not only one’s appearance, but also one’s mind, heart, and “soul” (if you happen to believe in the last).

Presenting the two as polar opposites is a common mistake, but not fact.

read eragon
Not horrible, but forgettable

This wasn’t bad for an author’s first book, and I’m guilty of buying the second book in the trilogy and reading that as well, but they’re the sort of book one can put down at any time and not miss. If you’re looking for an epic fantasy fix, I recommend The Lord of the Rings books or movies instead, and if you’re in the mood for telepathic dragons, read any of Anne McCaffery’s books about Pern.

get a degree
Am currently one semester from graduation

So far, the whole experience has been worth it, from living away from home, to staying up until dawn during finals’ week to get my papers finished. I’m not going to miss the all-nighters, but I hope my B.A. isn’t the end of my career as a student.
