Buy an ecofriendly dining table
Untitled

Cost: $1800
Purchased: from the Lorimer Workshop, Rhode Island
Materials: reclaimed wood, English chestnut stain

Nearly two thousand dollars might sound like a lot, and it absolutely is, but for our money we had personal communication with the man who made our table, email updates at each stage, a choice of materials, style and finish, and delivery straight to our door. Compared to the crappy made in China furniture that is epidemic across the US, as well as overpriced (most sets we saw advertised cost well into four figures, what the heck?), we got a bargain.

learn Cantonese
Untitled

Because being the white girl at the Christmas table is isolating enough, it would be nice to understand the basics of what’s going on around me :D and also to show up my fiance, who should know more ;)

eat a twinkie
Oh. My. God.

So so disgusting. Creepy faux sponge texture, enough sugar to rot your teeth in two seconds – I didn’t touch the second one, and I sealed it in a bag so it couldn’t get me.
