There must not be many Manchester City fans on this site…unfortunate, really. :P I put this entry up expecting others to have the same goal, but noooooo….I’m the only one…chirping crickets are all I hear.

I’ve already gotten German CD’s to get me started. I’m a bit lucky as I already speak some German, so the mouth formations, tongue positioning and “odd” sounds aren’t new. ;) The CD’s I’ve purchased are used for the military to quickly acclimate them to the country they will be stationed, so hopefully it will have me fluent in conversational German in a reasonable amount of time. I hope to do the Germans in my family proud.

I’ve been doing quite a lot of research on building with bamboo and the first step is to procure it (Mr. Obvious rears his ugly head). Luckily my family has about an acre of bamboo a 3 hour drive from me…strap it to the top of my car and I’m set, right??? :-/ The next step would be to cure it. Whilst I’ve read that the best way to cure it is via fire, I don’t think my neighbors would greatly appreciate me building a large bonfire…neither would the city officials, I suppose. Guess this means I must invest in a hand torch of some sort. Blast! Must admit, I’m quite excited about the prospect of achieving this goal, tho. :)
