And we don’t have any money! Because we just bought a house.
We have all the furniture we need in the Family Room—a couch and a tv and a floor lamp. (There are built-in bookshelves.) So Family Room…Done! Bedroom has a bed and a dresser in it. Done! Kitchen has a kitchen table and chairs. Done! But the rest of the house is just empty rooms. It’s a big house. There are a lot of rooms. This is going to take a long, long time.

I’ve read a book about:
Ulysses S. Grant
George Washington
Thomas Jefferson
Andrew Jackson
I’m about to start “An Hour Before Daylight.” As soon as I finish the dumb romance novel I’ve been reading. (“The Thorn Birds.” It’s ridiculous! Ha!)

I have a savings account. It doesn’t have anywhere near a million dollars in it. And I don’t earn that much. But I figure if I set the goal high, I’ll be more likely to keep saving.
Also, I did a worksheet that showed how much I would have to save per month to end up with a million in 18 years. It wasn’t THAT much more than what I’m saving now. It may take me 30 years to do this. But that’s no reason not to try.
