A few of my friends have “this is what’s going on in my life” blogs, they’re more like public journals. Those are fine, but not what I want to do. I’ve noticed the more successful blogs have a specific focus, and I want mine to have one, as well.
A few weeks ago, I came up with a great idea, one that’s specific, but has room to grow, and it hasn’t already been covered, so it’s pretty low hanging fruit. Right now, I’m slowly gathering up resources and ideas so I have a good backlog when I start up. I don’t want to jump right in, run out of things to write about, get disinterested, and never update.

A friend of mine had just gotten it from Netflix when I came to visit, so we watched it the next day. Quite thought provoking, but the end of the movie got a little tedious. What I’d really like to do is read the book!

I got a lot of cool new equipment for Christmas this year. Now I have to put it to use. That requires spending a lot of time working on things, getting out, finding interesting things, places, and people to photograph, and applying what I continue to learn about exposure, lighting, etc. I’d really like to get into off-camera flash like they teach at strobist.com.
