How I did it: I went to film school for 8 weeks and then went after every short film freebie gig I could find. I worked for free for 8 months and then started to get paying gigs. I made over $100,000 in 2007 working on two TV series. Since then the film industry where I live has taken a huge nose dive and so I have turned to writing.
