How I did it: I study classical Egyptian dance as well as other styles. I re-stylized the classical moves to include elements of club dance and other dance forms. This makes it easier to get a sense of what it is like. I played once at a performance, and I had such bad stage fright that I literally could not hear them—and these were loud. I looked at them thinking “How can these not be working?” Then the hits were off. I can play at parties, but on stage, I get adrenaline shot and loose fine coordination. Practice, practice.
