I don’t suppose there’s any way I could write a novel in 7 days, huh? I mean, without giving up eating, sleeping, time in a generally upright position, and sentences (much less paragraphs or plots) that make any sense at all? Thought not.

Oh, well. There’s always next year.

...And it can’t be that hard. I’m in all honors classes, except for theology and AP Human Geography. All I’ll need is mostly As and a few Bs. But I have to do all my homework, pay attention in class, answer the questions I know how to answer, and so on. No more mid-year slip-ups. It’ll be easy.

(If I keep telling myself that maybe I’ll believe it.)
