Well, ever since I got my driver’s license 1½ years ago, I’ve been mortified by the thought of driving. Just under half a year ago, my parents decided it would be a great idea to get me a car. I was less than thrilled – the idea of driving made my heart race, and thoughts of car crashes and dealing with authorities over mistakes made on the road put me off driving. In short, I was a nervous wreck every time I had to get behind the wheel. Things changed when I recently had a guest over from abroad. In order to get around, I had to act as a chauffeur. This was no mean feat – not only was I driving around myself, but I also had another person’s welfare in my hands!! Somehow I managed to gather my frayed wits, and the dreaded car drives became less and less intimidating. My confidence and courage were also boosted by the fact that my guest told me I was a superb driver – something I had a hard time convincing myself. Since my guest left, I’ve plucked up my courage to go driving alone a couple of times, and BOY, has it felt better than in ages. I’ve overcome my fear of driving, and it’s really made me feel better.
Out of the nine ear piercings I’ve acquired thus far, I like my tragus the most. It didn’t hurt much to get, and it has been superbly co-operative ever since I got it. It was a bit difficult to use iPod earbuds for a few days post-piercing, but that problem has gone away in just over a week from the day I got my tragus done. I am planning to get my other tragus pierced, as well, as soon as the first one has time to heal. I also had two new cartilage piercings done on the same ear, which may have contributed to the fact that having the piercing done didn’t feel so painful, or maybe being a seasoned piercee just helped. I would definitely recommend getting a tragus piercing, because it looks wicked.
