The best advice I was given, and the best advice I continue to follow as a marketing executive is to work smart, think outside the box, stay two steps ahead of the game, and network like it’s your life. I can’t tell you how many times I was able to work together with people within my circle of friends and acquaintances to help me get the job done and boost my career.
Marketing is always about trial and error so don’t get frustrated when a project fails. Learn from your mistakes and recover quickly. Try to predict the results so you’re not surprised, and keep accurate records.
Marketing careers are also all about trial and error. I worked like a slave for my last company and wasn’t making a good income. Marketing isn’t always the same – it’s good to find a good fit. I’m 22 now and I’m a executive director of sales and marketing for a Bio/nanotechnology company. I work hard, but I’m having fun and couldn’t be happier. I hope you all find the same. Good luck! : D

I’ve had a crap experience trying to get in as a transfer. Now, I’m applying for the second time as frosh. (Last year I applied too late.) I just want to graduate. Seriously. Like, yesterday.
Anyway, I’m applying again next week for Fall 2007. God willing, I’ll get in. We’ll see.
A lot of my friends and I get henna or go to henna parties during our Muslim holidays or weddings. I think the ladies just like to draw on me because I’m the whitest of the white and I need some decoration or something. I think it looks nice if it’s done well. My only advice is make sure whoever is doing it is experienced and that the henna is good quality. Sometimes the henna is bad it dries in a weird, bright orange color. Seriously, this one time we got some bad quality and it looked like I’d drawn on my hand with an orange highlighter. And while it’s not permanent, three weeks with orange highlighter is definitely enough.
Also, if you get it on the palm of your hand, the color comes out darker and stays longer.
