In the 90’s, this guy Alexander Supertramp took a trip all around the U.S. with no specific destination or purpose except that he would eventually make it to the wilds of Alaska. We’ve all seen Into the Wild, right? Or maaaaybe read the book. Either way. So here I am, thinking to myself that this lack of purpose beyond leaving behind the ties of the “real” world is an admirable purpose indeed. So I’ll finish high school, and I’ll finish college, because these are things that will make my father proud, and of all things in this stuck up society, making my old man proud is one of my top priorities. But then, then I’ll go on my own trip, for months or years on end. Take pictures, write, travel. See and experience things that I can’t grasp here in Southern California. It’s a far off dream, but when the time comes, all I have to do is walk out the door and go.
